Impressions from Innsbruckers and their internship experience!

DT Internship in Kenya:
The reason why I wanted to go for this internship was that I wanted to experience the poor in Africa. I wanted to understand the different stories you hear and pictures you see about Africa, I wanted to understand development, help, hunger and poor. I wanted to see it with my own eyes.
Now you could ask, why Africa, why not India or South America? Well sometimes you just have a picture in your mind and you know where you have to go. The same was it in my case.

All steps concerning AIESEC CBS have been very satisfying.
Concerning the host LC – even it was a very good experience in my case - other interns suffered a lot. Some might just have the wrong attitude but some had really bad experiences – and not a true AIESEC live changing experience.
I would tell you there is not everything going right in Kenya - if I would measure it in the way we measure in Europe, but since I was not in Europe I have to measure different... So I wouldn’t say they are doing wrong, but they could strongly improve.

How I said – for me the experience was very good and my major goal to see the poor in Africa to understand better has been totally fulfilled even more I expected. It has opened my eyes and changed my way of thinking.
