Kick-OFF

The next two months will proof...

... wether the Local Committee of Innsbruck will be able to fulfill their self-chosen goals of:

- 5 Exchange + Leadership (X+L)

- 22 Exchanges

- 15 Leadership Positions

- 60 members

by May 31st 2011.

You might be curious by now, how we aim to get there from the current state?

Well, first of all we are meticulously preparing our autumn recruitment, which will be launched at the end of September. For this venture we are counting on the support of or OUR MEMBERS, who should all participate in different activities in order to recruit the 30 people we would like to receive. The more members we get, the better we will be able to launch the projects that we have prepared during summer. Julian, our VP External Relations, Tobias, our VP Incoming Exchange and Theresa, VP Outgoing Exchange have prepared a wide range of projects, which will be introduced seperately in the next newsletters.

Furthermore we are continuously fostering the realtions with our current partners GE Jenbacher and LKW Walter, as well as reaching for new corporate and non-corporate partnerships to generate exchange and benefit from each other.

I expect a highly professional performance of AIESEC Innsbruck in the Austrian network during recruitment. We will give our best contribution to the national ambition and vision. Therefore I am very much looking forward to welcome everyone back at the first Local Committee Meeting, which will be taking place in mid or end September (still has to be evaluated, since there are still many of us abroad). You will get a seperate notification for it, as soon as the date is fixed.

So far from my side. Enjoy the remaining days of the lecture-free time and see you soon!

LC Innsbruck - dingeling ;)

Yours AIESECly,
Raffael Gurschler
Local Committee President

ICX

Dear AIESECers
The main focus of the area ICX in the last two weeks and in the following weeks is the integration of the new Interns.

Two more Interns are arriving:
Orlaith Sweeney from Ireland who will start her Internship on 1th of September at Buchdruckerei Lustenau (Lustenau is located in Vorarlberg).
Malgorzata Galbas from Poland will start her Internship at LKW Walter in Kufstein on 13th of September.

Last week we had to say goodbye to our Intern Magdalena Szynkowska. After a joyful time here in Innsbruck and at GE, she went back to Poland. "Wish you all the best Magda!"

Last Sunday the Second Rafting Day of AIESEC in Innsbruck took place. It was quite successful. 6 People took the chance to enjoy action and fun and afterwards the included entrance to the water area of AREA47.

Further we are still trying to match more TNs of LKW Walter. However the EP pool is very small in summer. Looking forward to better times for this :) One more main task we will do in the next weeks is to evaluate the current TN matching process, but as well do some research for some ICX projects and tasks we would like to start in the coming semester. This is over all the School Project, but as well the Selling Initiatives for November, cooperation with SOS Kinderdorf... So a lot is going on in AIESEC in Innsbruck...let's rock this term! All the Best Tobias

Career Days

Last month we kept on approaching companies to sell them CareerDays and it seems as if we can proudly announce GE Jenbacher as our next partner for CareerDays! Great to have one of our closest local partners on board - now we will head on and focus on promotion and inkind raising and make sure that our first CareerDays in Innsbruck will be an amazing event!

Enjoy the last weeks of your vacation and I'm looking forward to kick off OUR term!

Best,
Julian

Finance

Hey everybody,

to be honest the update from the finance area is relatively short, as most of us are having their well deserved time off.

Yet, there were some things that needed to be done, like:

- the research and application for funds for LCEM

- preparation of the this term's budget (so far)

- creating a budget template together with other AIESEC'ers from Austria

Thanks for reading

Enjoy the last few weeks of summer, so we can really kick-off in autumn

yours,
Georges

Talent Management

Hey everyone,

first off I would like to apologize that there were no news from TM in the last newsletter - to be honest, I simply forgot about the deadline.

But I can assure you that nothing groundbreaking happened in the last two weeks, the recruiment planning is going on, with support from COMM, OGX and the MC.

TM in Innsbruck has a new wonderful member - Jasmin Förg will from october on be working in this area, welcome!

From next week on I will be back in the office and the recruiment team will present the new and shiny concept, so stay tuned :)

Best wishes
Theresa

REGIONAL INDUCTION SEMINAR

AIESEC Trieste is going to organize a RIS (regional induction seminar) for AIESECer's newcomers. We would like the next RIS to be an international conference and so we are contacting 7 LCs from Austria, Croatia, Italy and Slovenia.

We would like AIESEC innsbruck to be part of this conference! This is a great opportunity for future new members, so they could live their first AIESEC conference in a really international environment: 4 nationalities with 7 LCs!

It will be a 3 days long conference in Trieste and it will be on 29th,30th and 31st of October 2010.

As an alternative for people who cannot go to Future Conference, this would be a great option for people willing to join AIESEC.

Interested? Please contact your LCP under raffael.gurschler@gmail.com
